Bought this for myself in anticipation of today's kindle touch present. It fits amazingly well. No wiggle room at all. It is not bulky at all when closed and folds flat easily to hold. The stand seems to work well, however I have only used it to read while holding it so far.

I love the color! Although it shouldn't be, it was one of the main reasons I chose this case. The quality of leather, stitching, etc. is excellent. The magnetic binding holds tight, but haven't tried it out in a bag or purse yet. I actually received a neoprene sleeve that is big enough to hold my kindle even when in a case, so I'd say I will be paranoid and put the kindle/case in the sleeve before journeying out too far with it.

The only thing I think I would like to add to this product is a magnetic or strap to hold the flap when opened. I'd like maybe a reverse magnet that would secure the flap for reading so it doesn't slide while I'm holding it.

So far, I am extremely pleased with this case and will update as I use it more to let you know how it holds up under normal use.

Grow more in love with this every day.

My daughter has now asked for it but in blue! They make a blue case, but it is a folio-style with a snap closure. I'd rather get her one like this because I know without a doubt it is a great product.

Decorative variant of AmazonBasics plain version of the same split-back, folio stand design, in colors and a full frame sleeve to show them (and replacing colored decals). Has a duller finish than appears in bright lit photos, reducing glare; a bit of leather conditioner brightens it up. The front leaves 1/8" of the Kindle bezel exposed, avoiding shadowing problems on the externally lit screen. 5.5 oz compared to 3 oz the simplest elastic strap book style. Coin magnets are hidden inside the leather at the top front corners, just sufficient to keep it closed in casual use, with a neat look absent straps or fuss with fastenings.

Folds back very flexibly for handheld use, so flips instantly between standing on a table and held in hand. With Amazon now making a version, this geometry must have proved popular.

The stand positions the face at angles down to 45 degrees, good for looking down at the display on a table. Steep vertical positions seem only useful on a high shelf, or just displaying the unit; some stand designs, A-frames, don't support low angle display.

Kindle slides into the sleeve top with a velcro fastened, inside fold over flap.

When stood without weight of a kindle in it, appears to bounce when tapped, the long bottom end bend springy, but is stable with the added weight pressing the bottom bend flat.

I would have liked a further stand detente to the end of the cover, for even flatter 30 degrees. There is room for a thin brace across the end, and even a small nub works -- some stopper is required or the bottom edge slips on smooth surfaces (why A-frame styles don't stand well). When closed, the thickened end rests out above the top edge of the sleeve, allowing smooth closure. (for brown, a slice of household extension cord thick insulation matches well and sews into the existing stitch holes).

No top fastening the back when folded into hand held position, but works without (the AmazonBasics version has an elastic strap closure instead of magnets, which can flip over to fasten in this position). The split-back bend balances comfortably on the edge of the hand without pressing on the front (for which some designs have special back pockets -- so even that feature is supplied here). Letting the cover hang down looks odd but provides perfect counter weight. A fastening for the top might look better, but could be more inconvenient. It would take an odd strap with the angles involved.

I recently replaced all of my mousepads. I got one of these in black, as a replacement for the previous model 3M Precise Mousing Surface with 3M Gel Wrist Rest Blue Water Design 8.71 in x 9.21 in. This one is a little more professional looking, but the biggest difference is the wrist-rest portion is VERY firm with minimal give. Based on other reviews, I think many people would find it uncomfortable, though I find it acceptable.

The mousing area is the same size as before, with a good control surface and no notable friction or noise.

I also got a couple of these Belkins: Belkin F8E262-BLK WaveRest Gel Mouse Pad (Black) They are a similar idea to this 3M, but less cost and with a more contoured and slightly softer wrist-rest. This 3M has a larger mousing area than those Belkins, but if size isn't the priority, you'll be just as happy with the cheaper Belkin.

Other than the relatively high price and the firm wrist-rest, this is a great mousepad.

Its very hard to select a digital camera for purchase with dozens of models out there. Reviews will help but its you who has to make the final decision.

LC33 is one of the rare non-Canon's worth considering. Its got a lot of features, fast performace, sharp images and reasonable price.

Pro's,
1. The image quality is very good, sharp & clean.
2. Fast performance, quick to do everything.
3. Got a unique mega burst mode to capture 5-8 images per sec, extremely handy for sports pics.
4. Build quality is very good and camera feels perfect in hand.
5. Runs on standard NiMH AA batteries, has video out and uses standard SD/MMC cards.
6. Panasonic is running a promotion currently for free 128MB SD card and 4 NiMH batteries after a rebate.
7. Uses only 2 batteries unlike 4 for A70, making it light weight.

Con's,
1. Bigger than Canon Elph's (about the same size as Canon A70).
2. Plastic tripod mount.
3. No manual controls except white balance.
4. Some noise in photos.

Overall LC33 is better than elcheapo Fuji's, Olympus D560 and Nikon 3100. (Cameras like those from Gateway, Samsung, Vivitar, Argus etc are just pathetic in comparison, don't waste money on them.) My recommendation is to get either Panasonic LC33, Sony P72 or Canon A70.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-LC33 3.2MP Digital Camera w/ 3x Optical Zoom Review by Hyper "Hyper" (San Mateo, CA United States)

Panasonic digital cameras are not anywhere near as ubiquitous as Elphs, and it's unfortunate. I think these Lumix cameras, which are slightly larger than the Elphs, compare more favorably in many ways.

I recently upgraded from my Panasonic DMC-LC20 to this camera and have not been disappointed. The LC-33 is slightly smaller, is 3.2MP versus 2.1MP. It still delivers many of the functionalities I was looking for in a DC.

The most important features on this camera are:
- Leica lens: Perhaps one of the most important features of a camera is its lens. With a good lens, you can take good pictures. With an excellent one like a Leica...
- AA batteries: Proprietary batteries suck. They're expensive and they sometimes inexplicably just die or lose their charge. It's much better to rely a few sets of AAs. And if you're ever out on vacation and run out of power, just run out and buy more batteries instead of having to wait to look for an outlet and charge up for a few hours.
- Burst mode: Allows you to take as many as 3 (manual says 5, but I've only gotten 3) pictures within a second. This only works in ideal light conditions, but if you've ever tried to take sports/action shots with a DC, you know how frustrating it can be with the lag between clicking the button and the camera takig the picture, and the lag between pictures.
- Short Lag time: Speaking of lag times, the Panasonic seems to have a shorter lag than Elphs.
- Picture Review: Some cameras require you to switch from camera mode to picture mode to view the last picture you took. This is a foreign concept to me. With the LC33, press a button, and it's back on the screen for 5 seconds.
- Movie mode: Although movies don't come out all that great (10 fps compared to 15 on some other cameras), the camera does allow you to record for as long as you have memory.
- Audio annotation is a fun feature to have. This allows you to automatically store a few seconds of audio with your picture.

- They fixed the battery storage fip-door thing. The LC20 had a horrible design that just felt like it was going to break anytime.

Cons:
- Weak Flash
- The body of the LC33 doesn't feel quite as sturdy as the Elphs, but I haven't had any problems with the LC33, and my LC20 is still going strong despite some short falls.

The camera I was comparing it to was the Canon A70, which I've heard and read is supposedly the best in this class. The Elphs are nice, but more pricey. And since I wasn't as concerned about size, I opted to look at the LC33 and A70.

I eventually settled on this camera for the following reasons:
- It takes 2 AAs rather than the A70's 4 AAs. If a camera takes 4 batteries, you'll need a minimum of 8 rechargable batteries at all times. With the LC33, I get away with having 6 AAs. Each pair gives me a good 100+ shots.
- Panasonic takes SD memory instead of the A70's Compact Flash. CF is a dying technology. Even Canon's moving away from it. (Note their newest Elph, the SD100 takes SD.) SD, is here it stay. It's being used in PDAs, phones, and other mobile devices.
- A70 fit poorly in my hand. The battery storage area for the A70 is in the handle. Before you buy any digital camera, go to a store and see how it fits in your hand first!!!
- Last, my previous positive experience with the Panasonic swayed me towards the LC33.

I'll conclude with the end to my review of the LC20: The key to buying a DC will be to ask yourself what you will be using the camera for most. Is it something you want to bring with you EVERYWHERE? If so, you'll probably want something ultra-small, smaller than this camera (and thus probably twice the price of this camera). I just wanted something to replace my Point-and-Shoot, something that allows me to take a lot of pictures without worrying about the cost of film, development, etc. IMHO, this is a great starter DC. It's relatively cheap, has a lot of great features, and it's compact enough to carry in a jacket pocket. Overall, it has exceeded my expectations and continues to please.

I have been researching for my 1st Dig cam for a month now. I have tried Minolta F300 (grainy, too complicated with manual options), Sony P72(noisy at night, pics on LCD look awesome but not on computer), Fuji 3800 (good, but awkward to hold etc). So returned all 3.

Bought this Panasonic 33, very nice ! Good pics, very accurate colors( see sony's is not natural, I will prove it to you !), Very smooth operation, no noise at all, no lags, cheaper, easy to hold, light - fits in pocket, fully auto - no manual operations, very easy for novices.

Problems:
Plasticky body (buy pana DCM F1S with metal etc if you want metal), Not great in Low light conditions (how many times we will take pics in low light ? let us face it).......it still takes good pics in normal night light conditions but not faraway ones, night scenary is not bad etc...., will have to buy AA NIMh battery, charger( get that Kodak at amazon.com - it has 5* rating), no sound in playback mode for video but it does record sound...

Overall, you won't regret if this is your first & want a pocket camera !

Commuting between NYC and Stamford, CT has really done a number on my shoulders as cute as my shoulder bags are. And while traveling, I finally twisted my right shoulder and said enough. I needed something that was still stylish but got the job done and would let my shoulder heal.

This Timbuk2 bag had exactly what I was looking for in a commute bag:

* main compartment fit 2 textbooks, a notebook, hat, mittens and some food for the plane
* everything else fit in the front compartment

Not to say there aren't any cons, but I think they're minor:
* there are certainly situations when I need more space (as mentioned above). also my duty-free purchases were not going to fit in the bag with everything else I packed
* lint also sticks to this thing like crazy, so be prepared.
* if you get the white/gunmetal/red combo, be prepared that things show through the white cover, so not a good place for sensitive materials/items
* the white material will obviously stain more quickly than some other colors. A Tide-To-Go stick in your bag might be handy if stains will bother you

Overall, I couldn't be more happy with how versatile this pack has been. It's more than worth the money.

I purchased the Timbuk2 Q in black (w/ neon yellow logo, not the black and pink version pictured here) and have been using it for about 1 month.

I am very happy with this purchase and will recommend others to purchase this bag for daily commute with a limited number of things to carry. If you need to bring gym shoes and other large items, consider the Timbuk2 H.A.L.

Simple Black with Neon Yellow Logo:
I have the black with neon yellow logo version - in this version everything is black, inside/outside the only thing not black is the logo. Simple and no non-sense. The green combo looks pretty cool too, but I wanted something that can pass more professionally. I think the pink and black combo is new. For a limited time (December 2009) the brown version is on sale for $65 on the timbuk2 site.

Slim Size with Medium Capacity:
This is a mid size-slim pack. Does not look bulky at all and very comfortable even when stuffed. I generally use this pack for heading out to a coffee shop to study or general run around campus/school day. I generally only bring a laptop, power brick, personal items, a pair of large over the ear headphones, 2 novel sized books, and maybe a portfolio with some papers in there. It can hold more stuff, but if you have to carry a pair of shoes or large science text books this pack might be too small. Consider this pack a day pack where you can carry a laptop and some work with you but dont bet on bringing the text books from all your classes.

Laptop Compartment for 13" to 15" laptops:
13" laptops generally require medium size and up Timbuk2 bags. In this case I have a 13" intel macbook with room to spare in the laptop compartment. Once you zip up the compartment the laptop stays put so its doesnt flop or bounce around. I have read about people with 15" macbook pros and they say that its a bit tight but nevertheless fits in the laptop compartment. There is a "padding" at the bottom of the laptop compartment perhaps intended for extra protection but it shifts and moves - I suspect when the compartment is zipped up it stays put. The zipper might be hard to get to when you swing the bag around, I still think its very convenient to get to the laptop and appreciate the swig around-ness.

Main Compartment:
Double zipper allowing you to position it for swing around access (positioned on the side) or at the top. This is a fairly deep compartment and will take to shoving of items pretty well. If you dont have much items or the pack is not very full things will fall to/bunch at the bottom.

Front Power Brick Pocket:
Fits a mac brick w/ or w/o extension cable and perhaps other small items as well. I use this pocket to hold an umbrella on rainy days so nothing else gets rained on as I scramble for the umbrella. The pocket tapers making for a "vertical" messenger bag feel and perhaps also for swing around access. Note when packing - This pocket is not gusseted so it will take up space (although as a separate partition) from the main compartment.

"Command Center" Compartment:
This is the smaller compartment which is like the flap of a messenger bag. There are lots of organization pockets in there but I would like to see more organization pockets in the main compartment. there is a "divider" that separates about 1/2 the compartment holding everything else in - this allows for more stashing and not worrying about things falling out when you unzip. This is usually the space I have the most stuff jammed in (I have many small items hence I dont place them in the main compartment). When stuffed this space will press against the main compartment and act as a compression to hold things in the main compartment in place.

Swing Around Access:
Start practicing! When on the go you can swing the pack and get to things you need without taking off the whole pack. One side targets getting to your laptop compartment and front pocket, swing to the the other side for the main, power brick, and command center compartments.

When holding this pack by the side it looks like a messenger bag and you can easily access the command center or main compartment (both equipped with double zippers). As you carry the bag on its side the back straps dangle and cannot be hidden (tripping over the straps might be of concern for shorter people like me).

Oh yes, and a water proof bottom, exterior and zippers (well as water proof as zippers can be) - resisting water is a staple of Timbuk2 products.

Timbuk2 started using the super light weight "Mission6 Nylon Fabric" for the newer color combos including the Black/Pink combo. The "first" gen bags like the Brown/Black combo, black & yellow swirly, and dark/light green are made of Timbuk2's signature ballistic nylon.

This product is an excellent idea. I use an HP zt3000, which is a widescreen laptop. Because of the Lapinator's square size, my computer hangs over the sides of the Lapinator. This lens adapter mated my sony nex5 to a nikon 55-200mm telephoto lens (clearance for $80) perfectly. Now my nex5 looks even sexier. har har. Here are some things to consider when using a nikon telephoto lens on a nex5: it is best used for bright daylight shooting, you cannot adjust any aperture on the nex5 at all, you can only adjust the shutter speed and exposure compensation, you will most definetly need a tripod to get any sharp images...daytime or night time, you cannot control the exposure at all while shooting video, manual focus assist function allows 7x and 14x magnification...which is great, I find myself having to do long-exposure shots with still life, you have to increase ISO setting if you want to shoot at a faster shutter speed...which can add unwanted noise. Aside from the above conditions, I'm very happy to have an inexpensive telephoto lens for my nex5 as the sony designated telephoto lens (18-200mm) costs $800.

Just go to manual mode, allow the camera to shoot without having lens information, and presto!


As an added bonus, you can remove your nikon lens and put a piece of foil over the adapter to use it as a pinhole lens!


Well-made, tight tolerances, looks like it will hold up well with use.

A solid aluminum construction, with simple to understand marking (red circle) to indicate where you should connect the adapter to the NEX-5 (the white circle on the body). Just twist until you hear a click from the body. Do the same with the lens and you are good to go.

The adapter came in a yellow box and wrapped in plastic inside the box. But there's no instructions so I hope the above description is useful enough. There's no aperture control on this adapter so you cannot use the "G" class lens properly as the aperture is set electronically via the body of Nikon cameras.

There's two issues with picking from only the "D" class lenses. 1. They just don't have that many variety compare to the G class. I picked up a 50mm F1.8, which leads me to the 2nd issue. 2. The "D" class lenses are made for full frame cameras. On the NEX-3/5 with the APS-C sensor, there's a 1.6x crop factor, which basically means the 50mm is really a 80mm lens. This works out perfect for me as I really wanted a portrait lens but you have to take that into account. But I almost wanted to return the 50mm lens and get the 35mm as I couldn't get use to the small angle of view, but I'm beginning to love it now.

Overall, I highly recommend this adapter over Sony's own due to price issues. If you must have auto-focus, go with Sony's adapter. But check out Youtube for videos on auto focus speed of the adapter and see if its right for what you need (I can say for sure its useless for auto-focus on sports shots).

This receiver is smaller than the one it replaced so I ordered the dash kit with it and I'm real glad I did. The instructions with the kit were not very good, but I figured out the parts I needed and the installation looks very good. I'm glad I had the wiring schematic for my vehicle. That sped up the install a bunch. The only surprise I got was the last part of the install before sliding it into the dash was hooking up the antenna lead, which is very short in my vehicle. The hole in the receiver was much larger than the one in my factory receiver and the antenna lead wouldn't stay in. I had to order an antenna adapter from Amazon (only $2.60) and then it fit very nicely.
The only thing I don't like about this receiver is there aren't any options for the clock. I would have liked to have the option of which display stayed on, the clock or the station. You push the display button and the clock comes on for a few seconds and that's it. I knew this before I bought it though, so I can't complain too much.
This baby passed all my other tests. The reception is great; the anti skip works fine on washboard roads; and the aux plug in works very nicely with my mp3 player. For the price it can't be beat.

I'd rated my order previously with 3 stars due to the cake paste wax having a centerline crack, and apparent wax crumbs on the surface and edges, I surmised that paste wax best not be a delivered item. My first use of the product, where I discarded the excess wax crumbs, I had over 90 percent of the wax in one piece, and after wiping on the wax applicator, the central crack eventually disappeared. Finally, the wax paper inside the can has text indicating that finding wax crumbling / cracks in the paste wax inside of the can is normal. In summary, the product was completely satisfactory, and I'd definitely purchase this item from the seller in the future.

It is well written with unexpected plot twists that are obvious in hind-site. The fast pace and well developed characters make this an enjoyable read.

Congrats to Mr. Roberts on making the New York Times Best Seller list. As of this post IRREFUTABLE sits in the #19 spot for Kindle books. This is a great read. A page turner that I couldn't put down. The author takes you through forensic proceedures without getting bogged down in technical details. The main character, a detective who is raising his teenaged daughter alone after the death of his wife, must deal with feelings of guilt for missing much of his daughter's life while trying to solve a series of rapes. Thing get complicated when DNA from one of the victims is matched to him.
It will definately keep you up all night.

From what I've read so far, this has been a great book. The concept of it is very intuitive, and it's a fast read. With the 'sunshine deals' amazon has now, you should really get this book.

Great concept but was to difficult to set up every time you want to use. Try the Motorola wireless T505 it's great!

This product works great with my Verizon Moto Droid. I'm able to listen to music, podcasts, and Google Navigation through my car audio system. Since there is nothing currently specifically marketed for the Droid, I figured this would work since it has the connections I need. I tested the hands-free feature and that works so well that the people on the other end did not know they were on speakerphone. The audio quality is as good as one could expect from a radio transmitter. I'm not sure about the durability of the spine in the long run, but for now, it's up to the task of holding up my (relatively heavy) Droid. Since this is a universal product, the placing of the ports isn't ideal for my particular phone. The audio cord comes from the bottom up to connect to the top of my phone, and the USB input is on the wrong side. This presents a bit of a cable management challenge. However, I knew this going in, so it was not a surprise.

I was a little worried that the USB charger would not work since I've had products fail to charge via USB before, but this is able to seamlessly charge my Droid via the provided Micro-USB.

Overall, though not overly elegant, this is a fine product to suit my needs.

I think I may have found the first hands free device for the BlackBerry... (I'm sure it's not the first, but I sure as heck cound't find one anywhere else). NY's finest love giving new "hands free" tickets for talking on your cell phone. I can finally remove this silly bluetooth headset and talks hands free with my BB!

Sound quality is pretty good compared to what I've heard on other FM transmitters. It's not as good as the quality I've heard with friends who have line-in plugs for their Iphones, but accptable nonetheless. No static, yet.

Setup is easy. Plug it in to the 12v outlet and tune the radio station to match what you set on the connector dock. My buddy had to give me a hand with the programming, but it wasn't really that hard. It would be nice if somehow there were less cables floating around the device! but I'm content with the fact it allows me to talk hands free and it even charges too! Maybe now I can try Pandora again? I tried it earlier, but it ate too much battery. I can follow up with the results soon.
